About

About Tā Moko Oil

What is Tā Moko Oil? Well that is a good question. Ta Moko Oil is a tattoo healing oil that will revolutionize the tattoo healing process. It was created with natural premium oils and essential oils. All oils come from around the world. The oils that I have chosen were chosen for their moisturizing properties or their richness in vitamins also lets not forget oils with antioxidant properties. Yep those are in there too.

History:
I been in the tattoos scene for well over 20 years. In 2014 I decided to go big or go home. So I got a full sleeve with every inch of skin covered. While getting this tattoo (6 hour at a time and over 40 hours total time). I tried a whole slew of slavs and creams. With every application using different products I found thatI lost color at the end or that season didn't heal properly. Even in 1 case got an infection although I can’t 100% say that the product caused it. But I can say with certain that product didn’t have anything in it to prevent the infection. After every healing season I had to returned to my tattoo artist to apply more color where I lost it. With every reapplication I found that I lost fine details within the tattoo.

So I told myself that I could get something better to help me and my friend

Some of the place we get our oils from:
I am constantly looking for the best and highest quality oil from around the world. I have come across a high quality Safflower Oil that I will used in Ta Moko Tattoo Oil. This oil is imported exclusively from Turkey. Safflower Oil is amazing; it nourishes and penetrates skin while protecting your skin from outside free radicals. Another Oil we use is a Rice Bran oil. This oil is rich in vitamin E and fatty acids. Rice Bran oil is able to deeply penetrate into skin’s layers, nourishing it from within, making your skin very soft and velvety, rice bran oil boosts skin’s natural regeneration process. Which is what you need after a tattoo season. Our Rice Bran oil is one of the high quality oil found in Thailand.

This is just a sample of what we look for in our oils. To find out more please visit our product info page.

Healing

Tattoo Healing Stages

Every new tattoo goes through a particular healing process. This process can commonly be split up into three different stages and those stages can be divided up further into a day-by-day stage.

Like any other type of open wound inflicted on the body, tattooed skin must protect itself from harmful outside bacteria and regenerate itself back to full health after any damage has been done.

This recovery is what a tattoo goes through as it heals, right up to the point where the skin is back to how it was before the tattoo.

To much is a bad thing. Over use of slavs, palms or creams. Can cause you to lose color or worse get an infection. As can see in the picture above this is what happens when I use to much of a butter style slav. This will not happen with Tā Moko Tattoo Oil. You can not over use it.
